This book was about a girl named Amy who was terrorized by her evil living ventriloquist dummy.

Amy wanted to become a professional ventriloquist, she always trains her skill with her dummy, Dennis, but one night, Dennis's head fell off. Next day, Amy asked her father to buy new dummy, but her father didn't have any money, but he found an old abandoned dummy, his name was Slappy, Amy was very happy but it didn't last long, after she got that dummy, Amy's life was not the same. Amy's friend and family blamed Amy for something that she not did because where ever there was a trouble, Slappy always there, and Amy thought that her dummy was alive.

I think this book is really make me feel goosebumps, because every chapter always ended with cliff hanger, and the author really make reader annoyed by what Slappy do and make his owner blamed for what he did. 

My favorite part is when every trouble that Slappy did and make Amy's family and friend blame her, i think it's really annoying, and every end of chapter is really make me more wonder about what will happen in next chapter.

This book is really recommended for teenagers about 12-13 years old because the way author tell the story is quiet easy to understand.
